The Panhellenic Council at Winthrop University is the coordinating body of 4 National Panhellenic Conference sororities and one affiliate member sorority on campus. Panhellenic strengthens the Greek community and is responsible for promoting scholarship, philanthropy, and safety for each sorority as well as the Greek community as a whole.
The Executive Council encourages the highest possible academic, social, and moral standards, as well as excellence in community service, campus involvement, unity, and social engagement, to ensure that individual chapters and the Greek community thrive. With these objectives in mind, the Executive Council recognizes all members and their viewpoints, thoughts, and contributions to the Panhellenic community as a whole.

Why I Went Greek:I went Greek my freshman year to get more involved on campus and find a community. As cliche, as it sounds, I wanted to find my home away from home. Going Greek has not only allowed me to meet some amazing Panhellenic women, but I have also met some of my best friends because of it. I also went Greek for leadership opportunities. I have served on my organization’s exec board in 2 positions. I served on CPC exec as VP of Operations and Finance and now for a second term as VP of Recruitment. Why I went Greek: I went Greek during the spring semester of my freshman year. I had struggled to find real friends and watched my roommate as she joined Greek life the semester before I did and loved it. I was very shy and insecure but quickly became comfortable around the women I met through Greek life. Greek life has given me some of my best friends. I have gained confidence in myself and my leadership abilities. The Greek life community is incredibly welcoming and I wouldn't trade my experience in Greek life for anything!
